Owlie presents some basic information and rules of #OpenBSD on IRCnet:

Speak English.
No public aways! Generally fix your client (no autorejoins and stuff). We recommend using irssi as your client.
Nick changes to nicks like nick|away, nick|work are strictly forbidden.
Do not join the channel with a vanity domain. We hate DNS pollution.
Do NOT ask us for ops, neither in public nor private.
There are no official OpenBSD ISO images. Don't ask for unofficial ones, help the project, purchase a CD.
